MIDDLETOWN, NJ - That book, Butterfly Kisses and Wishes on Wings, is the focus of an exhibit at Middletown Township Public Library. Nanci Hersh has assembled a representative selection of the words, sketches, and objects that inspired her illustrations for Butterfly Kisses and Wishes on Wings. The exhibit also includes giclee prints of several illustrations from the book, and the book's original art work. In addition to Butterfly Kisses and Wishes on Wings, the one-woman show in the Gallery and display case at Middletown Township Library includes a selection of Nanci's works of art on paper.
Nanci Hersh: The Making Of A Book - Program at Middletown Library
The exhibit will be open during regular library hours during the month of March, 2007. There will be a reception for the artist on Saturday, March 24, from 2 - 4 pm. On Monday, March 26, at 7:30 pm, Nanci Hersh will sign copies of her book, and will talk about her experiences facing cancer as the parent of young children. Tracy Durkin, LCSW, Family Therapist, will join Nanci as guest speaker. Both the reception and the talk are free and open to the public. No reservations are necessary.
